STCVS Business Manager
Hello. I’d like to introduce myself as Debbie Carr, STCVS Business Manager.
I joined the organisation in January 2016 and I’m pleased to be working with the team and within a valuable South Tyneside service in this exciting year of change as STCVS develops into its new innovative service.
I have worked as a business manager in a variety of fields as well as managing my own businesses.
My previous experience involves managing and developing projects for the commercial and community sector, where I specialised in maximizing profits for the organisations while supporting their aims, and hope that my skills and knowledge will enhance the team at CVS
I began training as a Youth Worker with South Tyneside Council and carried out this role while working in the Private Sector with in the manufacturing industry.
While working a youth worker I progressed to manage a local community centre until its closure in 2008. Since then I have managed a charitable sports and social complex and therefore bring many skills and experience to the voluntary sector. I have experience of managing a variety of staff and volunteers along with working alongside and developing community groups.
I joined STCVS in May 2014 and specialise in assisting new and older groups with governance skills, funding information, promoting community development, networking and health and wellbeing.
