We are a group of mams and dads originally set up in 1996 who meet on a fortnightly basis to discuss problems, idea’s and arrange fun things to do. The kids are looked after at these meetings by play/sports development, who are supplied by local council and are fully trained. Our recent activities include a Christmas film shown at the library, a Christmas party then we had seasonal arts and crafts, a present hunt and a selection box for each child. We also had a 2 night stay at Whithaugh Park which was full of fun activities. We are currently arranging a bowling night and other activities on a monthly basis. Any family member can come along as long as there is a child who suffers from ADHD, and their siblings can come along also.
Our next meeting is the 8/1/14 from 5 – 7pm. Our meeting rooms are just off the cafe, downstairs in South Shields library, and we can meet you there. Lift access is available. Children must be between 5 and 14 yrs to come to the group, but most family members can join in the monthly activities. Please get in touch if you would like any more information. We advise that you ring before planning a visit to check all these details are up to date”.
